Not sure about you but my holiday budget just about covers getting somewhere nice and there’s usually not much left to splurge on expensive resort wear. For me, it’s therefore all about beachwear on a budget. Glamorous vacation style for less, of course, doesn’t mean anyone should notice that you counted the pennies.
My first point of call is usually my own wardrobe. I tend to forget what I have so taking stock before you go shopping is essentials. Once you know what you ‘need’ decide how much you want to spend and then stick to it. From my experience, there’s always some nice cheap local market or shop where you can treat yourself to a cute dress or beach cover-up for the equivalent cost of an ice cream. I bought some great outfits on vacation and funny enough those £5-pieces are the ones I got the most compliments for. If you accessories them cleverly no one can tell.
Summer means summer sale so this is my next stop. Right now you can make great bargains. Most retailers have their final days and give extra discounts before they close the sales. Another great destination is the vacation store at The Outnet where I always find beautiful accessories and discounted designers.
And if you really want to bag a bargain, go to eBay. If you know what you’re looking for you can snap up designers for less than 10% off their original price. Like this gorgeous cut-out swimsuit from Paolita that retailed for more than £200! Or this round straw bag that is just the ticket for summer.
