I didn't count the shiny boxes at Wolf & Badger but apparently they have 72 concessions from young up-and-coming designers at the store.
The store has a great concept- Gallerist Samir Ceric and his wife, handbag designer Zoe Knight give emerging talents the opportunity to sell their collection at one of the best addresses in London, Ledbury Road in Notting Hill. Hardly any young business would be able to afford such a sought after location and yet, here they are, a whole lot of exciting new design talents; All under one roof giving us the chance to explore them in one space.
The relationship with the designers is very personal. New designers come on board regularly while those who grow out of their boxes like Felder Felder or David & David leave the mother ship. Interest is huge but only the most exciting new generation fashion and design brands make it into the boutique.
This is a place to find that one-off piece that no one else has. Its your chance to buy into a new designer while they are still affordable. Don't expect to have heard many names before but be sure you'll hear from them in the future.
Highlight of this innovative retail space is the enormous jewelry collection. No matter whether you're looking to buy something for him or her, the selection is impressive. Its jewelry that will get you noticed - necklaces with pistols or star studded wrap bracelets by Tomasz Donocik (just named jewellery designer of the year), statement rings and show stopping bracelets by Maria Francesca Pepe, Bling Deenie's bad girl's knuckleduster rings or meaningful pendants, necklaces and rings from Vancouver based Phyrra.
Prices start as low as £45 so there's no excuse to not pay this shop with their boxed-up designers a visit.
