The Merchant Archive story began in 2007 when a chance meeting found owner Sophie Merchant trading dental hygiene for a life long love of design, fashion and in particular vintage.
In the early days Merchant Archive sold solely to designers for inspiration from a small personal collection in a boudoir by private appointment.
Since then merchant archive, now housed in an old Lipton general store has grown into a hub for stylist celebrity and designers alike.The ever evolving display of art furniture and object provide a perfect back drop for contemporary and vintage clothing.
In recent times Merchant Archive has become a meeting ground for creatives, where introductions are made and collaborations formed.
New designers are found and backed pushed forward and encouraged to grow. Vintage is sourced world wide using our ever growing base of dealers.
Art exhibitions play an important role at Merchant Archive creating a gallery feel to the store and uniting Art and fashion.
